Lincoln Park is a neighborhood on the north side of Chicago. Lincoln Park is bordered on the north by Diversey, the west by Clybourn, the south by North Ave., and the east by the public park of the same name.

Lincoln Park is an historic neighborhood which is popular because of its close proximity to the lakefront as well as downtown. It attracts visitors and city residents with its trendy shops and ethnic restaurants.

The major demographic make-up of Lincoln Park consists of young singles, including collegiate, beginner families and a sprinkling of established homeowners who have resided in the neighborhood for years.

One of Chicago's most sought after areas, Lincoln Park provides an exceptional location, gorgeous scenery, boutique-style shopping and dining district and a wealth of recreational/leisure/arts & entertainment options.

Lincoln Park is an upscale neighborhood with an expansive park system. You'll find biking and jogging paths, yacht clubs and marinas, ice skating, baseball diamonds and even a lagoon that is home to a local rowing club. It is common to see people walking to and from coffee shops, parks, and various gourmet eateries. Elegant high rise buildings peacefully coexist alongside charming row houses.

If you are considering buying or renting property in Lincoln Park then it is important to consider the available housing options within this incredibly popular neighborhood. Generally, condominiums start in the low 200’s and go up to $1+ million and single-family residences start around the 700’s and can go as high as $3+ million.

Word of caution, though, Lincoln Park is known for being congested. Street parking is very limited so it may be to your benefit to search for housing that includes a parking space. Also, most of the streets in Lincoln Park require the purchase of residential permits, although it does not guarantee you a place to park, it has certainly made it a little easier for residents to find a place to park.
