Park
Humboldt
Park is located on the northwest side of Chicago. The
name may be used to describe the area as a community or the actual
207 acre park itself. The neighborhood is bordered by Western
Ave. to the east, Pulaski Rd. to the west, Armitage Ave. to the
North and Chicago Ave. to the south. It’s a very diverse
neighborhood, it’s home to a high concentration of Mexicans,
Puerto Ricans and African-Americans.
Benefiting
from the growth of its south neighbors, Wicker Park and Bucktown,
Humboldt Park has been a hot spot for tear-downs and conversions.
Thus, Humboldt Park has seen property values rise steadily in
recent years. Prices of condos in Humboldt Park start in the mid
to upper 100’s and multi-unit or single family residences
start in the mid 200’s.
